Climate change is
having an increasingly evident impact on the environment and on people. We
are living in the future climate change scenarios of 10-15 years ago, and
while we are adapting in many ways we are reacting too slowly to the risks
of substantial changes in our life support system. Learn about some of the
latest climate change science, and discuss how we need to respond.

Greenhouse gas
emissions from native forest logging and clearing are 20% of the problem and
need a proportionate amount of policy attention, resources and funding. The
Green Paper and the Garnaut Review are missing the point by promoting new
plantations but ignoring or sidelining the need to protect carbon stocks in
existing native vegetation. Hear why REDD Plus is the answer!
Please note
submissions on the Rudd Government's Carbon Pollution Green Paper are due on
10 September
